Icons of Porsche is returning for its third edition, promising to be even bigger and better than before. Last year, over 15,000 people attended the event at the Slab in Dubai Design District, making it the coolest car gathering in the region. This year, the two-day event will take place on November 25-26 and will attract Porsche enthusiasts, car lovers, families, and trendsetters with its diverse range of attractions.
One of the highlights of the event will be the first public display of the new Panamera. Additionally, there will be a supercar showcase featuring the Mission X all-electric hypercar concept, the largest display of classic Porsche models in the Middle East, immersive art installations, and fun family activities.
Dr Manfred Bräunl, CEO of Porsche Middle East and Africa, expressed his excitement about the event, stating, "Icons of Porsche shows the passion of the Porsche community in the Middle East and has become an internationally recognized event. This year, we will attempt to go one better with the reveal of several new Porsche models that have never been seen in the region before, as well as activations and entertainment for the whole family."
This year's gathering has the theme "Dream in Full Colour" to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Porsche. The theme represents the brand's courage to innovate. Ferdinand Porsche, the founder of Porsche, famously said, "In the beginning, I looked around and could not find the car I dreamed of. So I decided to build it myself." Icons of Porsche will celebrate this milestone by using color as a symbol of innovation.
In addition to the anniversary celebration, the event will showcase every generation of the iconic 911, honoring its 60th anniversary. The Porsche Museum in Germany will also contribute famous classic Porsche race cars, including the 917 KH Renntaxi and the Porsche RS Spyder.
The spotlight on innovation continues with the Mission X, a two-seater concept hypercar with Le Mans-style doors and a high-performance electric powertrain. With a power-to-weight ratio of one PS per kilogram and impressive downforce, it could potentially be the fastest road-legal vehicle if it goes into production.
Visitors can also enjoy artwork installations from renowned artists, indulge in delicious food and beverages from popular vendors, and explore the special Porsche merchandise pavilion that offers lifestyle items for everyone.
