【Summary】New videos of the Tesla Cybertruck off-roading show it struggling to climb a steep dirt hill. The videos were posted on social media and reshared on Twitter, generating over 342,000 views. Elon Musk has promoted the Cybertruck as a tough vehicle with a bulletproof exterior, but these videos suggest otherwise. In one video, the Cybertruck's wheels spin and screech before finally climbing the hill. Another video shows the Cybertruck repeatedly adjusting in an attempt to climb the hill.
A new series of videos from social media show Tesla's Cybertruck struggling while off-roading. The videos, originally posted on Instagram and later reshared on Twitter, depict the Cybertruck's wheels spinning in place as it attempts to climb a steep dirt hill. This raises doubts about the vehicle's off-road capabilities, despite Elon Musk's claims that it is tougher than most trucks with its bulletproof exterior.
The videos were taken at Hollister Hills, a vehicular recreation area in California. In one video, the Cybertruck can be seen spinning its wheels and screeching as it struggles to climb the hill. It eventually makes it to the top, but only after about 10-15 seconds of wheel spinning. Onlookers can be heard questioning whether the vehicle is even functioning properly. In contrast, another video from the same location shows a 1946 Jeep CJ-2A easily navigating the same hill without any issues.
These reshared clips have already garnered over 342,000 views on social media. It's not the first time a Cybertruck has been seen struggling with difficult terrain. In a previous video, a Cybertruck was allegedly stuck in a muddy field in Texas. Despite these instances, Tesla has not yet commented on the videos.
The Cybertruck's off-road performance may be crucial as Tesla prepares for its release. The company has scheduled a Cybertruck delivery event for November 30. While Musk has claimed that the vehicle is designed to be tough and can raise its ride height to avoid obstacles, some are skeptical of these claims. An auto expert has noted that it is unfair to judge the vehicle based on prototypes and that rigorous testing is necessary to evaluate its capabilities.
