Lidar Startup AEye Develops an Independently Verified 1,000 Meter Range Lidar Sensor for Autonomous Vehicles

California-based lidar developer AEye announced a major breakthrough in long-range lidar performance. The company's AEye’s 4Sight M lidar sensor was able to detect objects greater than 1,000 meters away. The 1,000 meter range was independently validated by VSI Labs, one of the nation’s leading independent evaluators.
