Nissan Joins General Motors in Backing California’s Stricter Emission Rules for Motor Vehicles

Nexteer & Continental Joint Venture Company Develops ‘Brake-to-Steer’ Technology for Autonomous Vehicles
Dec 02, 2020 4:45 PM WSTCNXMotion, the joint venture company of global auto supplier Continental and Michigan-based automotive motion control developer Nexteer Automotive, has announced the development of a new “Brake-to-Steer” (BtS) technology for automated vehicles or vehicles equipped with advanced driver assist systems (ADAS). The technology adds another layer of redundancy by using a vehicle’s electronic brake system to safely steer the vehicle while simultaneously controlling its speed.

Tesla Granted Permission to Sell its Shanghai-made Model Y Crossover in China

The U.S. EPA Officially Certifies Ford’s Fully-Electric Mach-E Range of 300 Miles

According to the data, Ford has met all of its EPA estimated range targets for its first fully-electric vehicle.

BMW is Exporting its China-Made iX3 Electric SUV to 39 Countries

The iX3 is being built by Brilliance BMW, the automaker’s joint venture with Chinese vehicle manufacturer Brilliance Auto, which was launched in March 2003. The first China-made iX3s were shipped on Nov. 11 from the Port of Dalian to 39 countries and districts, most of which are in Europe.

General Motors to Expand Truck Production to Help Fund the Development of New Electric Vehicles
Nov 05, 2020 11:55 AM WSTAs U.S automaker General Motors prepares to electrify its model lineup over the next few years, the company plans to boost capital spending over the next three years to speed development of battery-powered vehicles, CEO Mary Barra said on Thursday. Based on strong sales of pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles in North America, GM will boost annual capital spending through at least 2023 to fund its accelerated EV plans.
